Continuous Iteration

The development of this blog has been quite dynamic. Initially, the blog underwent several redesigns and eventually transformed into Tech Pulse Daily. While it retained some blog-like elements, it felt somewhat uncoordinated, and the space for personal articles significantly diminished. Meanwhile, the original hcytlog.com evolved into my personal portfolio site, but it hasn’t been updated regularly XD.

Recently, I’ve been considering consolidating my scattered articles back onto hcytlog.com, but there’s a problem: the site doesn’t support publishing posts. Although coding the feature myself wouldn’t take much time, maintaining standard blogging functionalities feels like a hassle 😂. Luckily, I discovered that Cloudflare Pages offers free hosting. After trying Hugo, I found it convenient and decided to use it for this blog. Everything is now based on Markdown, which feels great! However, one downside is the lack of dynamic features, and I’m still brainstorming solutions for that.

Today, I set up Cloudflare R2, which will be used as the image hosting solution for Hybrid Cyt. The remaining details will be addressed gradually, with small updates every day — it should all be ready soon!

Multi-language function has been updated, and the subscription system can also distinguish multi-language subscribers, but only one email can be selected, you can freely switch between Chinese and English pages to subscribe to the updates, and also supports unsubscribing!

Added a subscription feature! Since Hugo’s functionalities are limited and primarily static, I created an API under the “works” section for subscriptions. By integrating it with the KV database, subscription data can now be stored. With a simple form, the subscription feature is now fully functional!
